The 2019 Northstar Invitational concentrated talented student athlete leaders from 18 States,  Canada, and New Zealand to the Northwood School, adding one more Chapter to the storied sports history of Lake Placid.  At Northstar, the focus is athlete development --- sports performance, mental fitness, leadership training, recruiting process preparation, small-sided play, and more. Athletes are selected to Northstar because of their talent and leadership, on and off the field, and the aim is for them to leave as more prepared student athletes, motivated to raise the bar, and loving the game even more. Of course, part of the Northstar experience was highly competitive games, split throughout 6 full-field game sessions. Teams competed in mixed graduation year teams, named after the leaders of the USWNT Gold Medal Winning Soccer Team. Team Morgan defeated team Rapinoe to take home the Northstar Championship. Athletes also split into graduation years 2021, 2022, and 2023 to showcase the World Lacrosse 6v6 Trial format, and also 3v3 SPEED lacrosse.
