Raising BRAVE

By Jasi Docal, 02/05/20, 10:45AM EST

It's hard being a teenager. We know that bravery and confidence drops at the age of 9 for girls and boys and will not start to climb again until the age of 22.

Between 11 and 13 years of age, there is a dramatic shift from physical fears (bugs, the dark) to emotional fears (failure, loss). By the age of 15, kids are afraid of the same things as adults.

For those kids who also experience depression, anxiety or stress, these emotional fears can be crippling. For tips on how to deal with depression - for yourself or to help your teenager - check out this article by Brave Founder & CEO, Crista Samaras.
