LAKE PLACID, N.Y. – The pandemic that delayed a youthful Lake Placid lacrosse story from hitting our television screens is now ready for airing and will be broadcast across the country on Saturday, Sept. 11, on Teen Kids News.
Produced in collaboration with Summit Lacrosse Ventures and JFM Sports, Inc., and narrated by 14-year-old Northwood School student Lincoln Norfolk, the story is set to air at 9 AM on WPTZ/My NBC 5 after a nearly two-year wait. Lincoln’s story was shot during the opening days of the 2019 Summit Lacrosse Classic in Lake Placid, when high school boys and girls were in action.
This was not the youngster’s first foray into the world of television – Lincoln and John Morgan of JFM Sports partnered for similar coverage during the 2019 International Children’s Games in Lake Placid. Prior to that, Norfolk’s film creation Finding Home, raised $750 for the Lake Placid Center for the Arts and the Joshua Fund, where the Norfolk family rescued their black lab, Luke.
The lacrosse piece will air on over 150 Teen Kids News television affiliates, as well as the American Forces Network and school districts around the country representing some nine million students.
